By using Gestalt, you agree to the following terms.

The app

Gestalt generates alt text descriptions for images using third-party AI services. The descriptions are generated by AI and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated descriptions before using them.

Subscriptions

Gestalt Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription that provides access to AI-powered caption generation without needing your own API key.

• Subscription price is $1.99/month
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings

Bring Your Own Key

If you choose to use your own API key, you are responsible for your own API usage and any costs incurred with Anthropic or OpenAI. Gestalt is not responsible for charges on your API account.

AI-generated content

Descriptions generated by Gestalt are produced by third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT-4o). Gestalt does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of generated descriptions. Always review generated text before publishing.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Gestalt in compliance with all applicable laws and the terms of service of the underlying AI providers.

Apple's standard EULA

Use of Gestalt is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Limitation of liability

Gestalt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gestalt and its developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
